it's fine to use pencil...
Lovely little bit of "bite"! A clever and jolly way to have a dig at all those political agendas!
The story of politics. Nicely done.
You nailed this one! Nice use of the prompts. I noticed the ommission of "saint". Maybe...that's because most politicos aren't saints. Ha! BTW, missed you on SS this week.
Very interesting take on the words - and there's a sharp truth to them.
The 3 words were used well! Sharp rhythm and rhyme too. I was half-expecting to read a final punchline after "voted" - but it ends well there too on a second read. (Maybe I've been reading too many limericks!) Everyone can relate to this.
Phew, honey coated promises, we've got a general election coming up in the UK too! Nice little Limerick!!!
oh nice, ur poem bit those people who give saintly promises b4 elections and devilish excuses after.. nicely done..
Topical for UK General Election coming up.
Bwahahahaha! Well done, well said about the politicos. :-D
Very apt in today's times here in my country where candidates are too busy trying to be saintly and trying to lubricate with positive promises all their speeches!I could only smile...Unique use of the prompt!
too true to be funny! Great take on the prompt - didn't think about politics!
Wow great poem! I have to admit, when I read "saint" was one of the three words of the week... politics were furthest from my mind. :-)
over here on this side thaz almost too painful to read...
lubricating words! hmmm a nice thought!http://fart-in-a-jar.blogspot.com/2010/04/saintly-satisfaction.html
